PAIN AND PALLIATIVE CARE
Palliative means to soothe, calm and alleviate feelings of physical and mental pain that a patient could be feeling. Palliative care focuses on temporarily and slowly relieving terminally ill patients from their symptoms.
The comfort and assistance provided by a multidisciplinary team to provide the patient with a pain free life in the final stages of their illness. This encompasses the stay and care of the patient and family as they deal with possibly losing a loved one. Hospice and palliative are professional sub-categories of medicine that focus on the management of symptoms and provide relief of suffering and end-of-life care. Treatment plans are personally tailored to each patient’s specific needs. The treatment in palliative care entirely depends on the goals and desires of the patient.

Our Services
Skilled Nursing
Our palliative care nurses provide a variety of services, including monitoring patients, managing pain, administering medications, and managing equipment. They also provide personal care, such as bathing and dressing. All of our trained staff members work with empathy towards every patient.
Physiotherapy
With the ultimate goal of providing quality healthcare to people of all ages, we try to reduce their pain and prevent their illness. Our physiotherapists offer pain management solutions for musculoskeletal disorders, improved strength and movement, or treatment for breathlessness, fatigue, and lymphoedema.
Occupational Therapy
Our aim at end-of-life care is to provide clients with holistic and patient-centred services that reflect their changing goals and address their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and occupational pursuits.
Speech Therapy
Providing speech therapy to the elderly as part of palliative care and end-of-life care plays an important role in our facility. Our palliative care team, in partnership with the patient, family, and patients, provides consultation services related to communication and swallowing.
Diet & Nutrition
As palliative care begins, nutrition support can give residents the energy they need and minimize their infection risk, thus improving their quality of life. We make nutritional goals with individual residents and their families in congruence with other treatment goals.
Respiratory Therapy
When a patient is nearing the end of life, our respiratory therapists are right there beside their bedside to help ease the situation. During their time with patients, they ensure that their breathing functions are at their best. When it comes to respiratory therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation is our most common treatment.
Wellness and Lifestyle
Our range of lifestyle and wellness services provide all kinds of opportunities so that you can continue to enjoy the things you love to do, or discover new experiences, places and people as part of a more active lifestyle. Our wellness program is tailored to meet the needs of each patient.
Emotional Wellness
A critical aspect of palliative care is emotional well-being, and psychological care must be provided to patients and their families. Knowing the needs of our patients, we provide the support they need and ensure their wellbeing.
